Color Codes Thermocouple
wire, extension wire (compensating cable) and connectors are often but not always
color-coded to indicate both the thermocouple type and the polarity of the thermoelectric
voltage that will be or is being developed. Thermocouples must have matched calibration
extension wire at the measurement end to account for temperature differences between
the tip or hot junction and the measuring point which may be either the cold junction
or an intermediate junction. |
