Basic
Thermowell vibration analysis program. In the course of thermowell analysis work,
some engineering software which is useful in predicting the application limits
of thermowells and sensors has been developed . The freeware version of that code
is restricted to steam and condensate applications; basically a worse case evaluation
scenario (available at www.tempsensor.net
as download "Wellstress.exe"). A more advanced version is also
available, but it is not for the casual user. - NIST
ITS-90 Thermocouple DatabaseThis
database reproduces selected tables of NIST Monograph 175, "Temperature-Electromotive
Force Reference Functions and Tables for the Letter-Designated Thermocouple Types
Based on the ITS-90," by Burns, Scroger, Strouse, Croarkin, and Guthrie. These
reference functions have been adopted as standards by the American Society for
Testing and Materials and the International Electrotechnical Commission. All temperatures
in the database are given on the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90).

conversion from
Allmeasures.com, includes table and converter.
- Free
temperature scale conversion software at the Download Section of www.TempSensor.net.
Program runs on desktop and on demand coverts temperature values between Celcius,
Rankine, Kelvin and Fahrenheit simultaneously!
- CCalc,
a free, downloadable units converter program from CyberMetrics Corporation
a software company that is a leading provider of easy to use and affordable Calibration,
Quality and Maintenance Management Systems software. It converts between units
for area, length, weight, volume, temperature, time, speed, pressure and energy
plus comes with several different "skins" to enable a user to pick a
look they prefer.
- NEW-Free
software to run a low cost (about $30 USD) QKit
PC-based, four channel thermistor-based temperature data logger (covers typical
household ambient temperatures)-available from Dan Klein's personal website as
a Perl-based thermometer logging daemon, log dumper, and CGI script(one program)
does all three functions!) available with both source
code and documentation.
Bonus: you can see some actual temperatures as they are measured around Dan's
house. Quite neat! (Dan is a PERL consultant and has authored or co-authored several
popular books on software).

Engineering Statistical Handbook.
NIST teamed up with International SEMATECH, a consortium of worldwide major semiconductor
companies, to provide this Web-based guide for engineers, scientists, businesses,
researchers and teachers who use statistical techniques in their work. The e-Handbook
expands and updates Handbook 91, Experimental Statistics, originally published
by NIST in 1963.It covers topics such as Process Monitoring and Control, R&R
Studies,Uncertainty Analyses and much more. A virtual course in statistics that
expands into the uses of statistics in many areas of measurement, design and control
of practical experiments and operational processes.

Graphical Analysis and Visulation Program: Dataplot is a public-domain, multi-platform
(Unix, Linux, PC-DOS, Windows NT, etc.) software system for scientific visualization,
statistical analysis, and non-linear modeling from NIST. It is integrated into
parts of the Engineering Statistics Handbook (above), but can use data from many
other inputs. The intended Dataplot user is the researcher and QA-oriented user
engaged in the characterization, modeling, visualization, analysis, monitoring,
and optimization of scientific and engineering processes, including measurement.
The original version was released by James J. Filliben in 1978 with continual
enhancements to the present.
