Both banner ads and text ads are accepted. Ads are available on a prepaid basis for a fixed period of time only.
New ads appear only on the “WordPress” version of this site. There are existing ads on the original site html pages that are still functioning (www.temperatures.com/home.html), but there are no plans to expand that portion of the website nor to continue it indefinitely.
There are four sizes that all use ad rotators for sizes up to 728 x 90 pixels for either graphic or text ads. Text ads may be pure text with a link or a graphic ads containing only text and a link. We will do the text to graphic conversion at no charge, if you wish.
The larger banner ads cannot exceed 91 pixels in height and 729 pixels in width. They can be in either .jpg, .png or. gif format. They may be graphic formats but they can contain text.
File sizes are limited to no more than 30 Kb at the 728 x 90 size and proportionally less for smaller area ads.
We will run swf (Flash ads), but contact us directly at info@temperatures.com for pricing and special concerns. (They will not show, for example, on iPhone and iPad devices)
Animated gifs (and swfs) must not change too rapidly; we believe that 5 seconds or longer dwell times are less intrusive than most.
We do not accept ads of questionable interest such as gambling, get rich quick schemes, porn and personal pharmaceuticals. Plus, we reserve the right to not accept an ad without qualification, if we believe it to be inappropriate for any of the network’s websites.
All banner ads are placed in banner rotators, with no more than five ads in any one rotator. They are:
Ad sites – Above the fold:
- Top of Site (728 x 90),
- Top of content (468 x 60),
- Top of Left Column (125 x 125)
- Top of Right Column (250 x 250)
Ad sites – Below the fold:
- Left Column (125 x 125)
- Right Column (250 x 250)
- Bottom Center (468 x 60)
The ads appear on every page on the site and there may be more than one ad in the rotators at any time, but no more than five.
We may show your ad on other sites in our network as a free bonus for you during the period that you have purchased ad exposure.
Small Sidebar ads (125 x 125), Long ads (468 x 60 and 728 x 90 ) and wider Sidebar ads (250 x 120 & 250 x 250) are priced only by length of time on display, either one, three or 12 months. and may be ordered as shown below. Due to the serious uncertainty over impressions, click hijacking and other means of measuring or skewing website ad performance, all other advertising options such as CPM, CPC, etc have been discontinued.

All paid banner advertisers are provided with permanent, free bold faced listings in the appropriate vendor listing page.
Be sure to specify the page that you wish your listing to be placed or upgraded.
